Overview

We develop and analyze efficient algorithms for a variety of applications in mathematics, computer science and natural and engineering sciences. One focus is on adequate data management and the efficient implementation of the algorithms on today's high-performance architectures, in particular the utilization of memory hierarchies and efficient parallelization strategies.
 

Main research interests

  • Efficient algorithms in numerical linear algebra, in particular eigensystem and SVD computations
  • Result-verifying algorithms, e.g., for solving nonlinear systems
  • Efficient techniques for dominance filtering and network flows
